Winifred La Grua, Benefactor Of The Borough, Dies At 94

Winifred Glover La Grua, 94, lifelong resident of Stonington, wife of the late Maurice C. La Grua passed away Thursday, February 02, 2012 at home, according to the obituary on website.

Winifred and her kate husband Maurice owned and operated on Water St. in Stonington Borough for over 50 years, the obituary says.

In 2007, Wynne funded the purchase and renovation of the old Atwood foundry building to serve as a community space in memory of her late husband, later named , the obituary says.
