Woman Drives Car Into North Stonington Liquor Store: State Police

Police said a woman was arrested on drunk driving charges after she allegedly drove her car into a North Stonington liquor store.

NORTH STONINGTON, CT - Police said a Rhode Island woman was arrested on drunk driving charges Saturday afternoon after she allegedly drove her car into a North Stonington liquor store, News 8 reported. State police said the incident occurred around 4 p.m.

Troopers initially received reports of a car having driven into the Cork and Barrel Liquor Store at 270 Clarks Falls Road, according to News 8. Police said the driver, 48-year old Katrina Oliver of Rhode Island, was arrested after subsequently failing a field sobriety test. Police said no injuries were reported as a result of the incident, News 8 reported. The crash remains under investigation, police said.
