Woman Hits Car in Stonington Parking Lot, Found Passed Out in Vehicle 2 Hours Later: Police

Officers said she had an odor of alcohol on her breath.

STONINGTON, CT - Police said a woman was charged Tuesday with hitting a car and fleeing the scene before passing out in a parking lot, the New London Day reported.

Laurie L. Wisehart, 40, of Ledyard was charged with driving under the influence and evading responsibility after allegedly hitting a car Monday night in the Stop & Shop and Regal Stonington Cinemas parking lot, according to the New London Day.

Police later found Wisehart’s car two hours later on Elihu Street passed out in the driver’s seat, the New London Day reported. Officers said she failed field sobriety tests and she had an odor of alcohol on her breath.
