Police responding to a house fire rescued an elderly woman who was unable to get out on her own, according to a report.
PAWCATUCK, CT — Police rescued a woman from a burning home in Pawcatuck early Thursday, according to The Day of New London.
Stonington police officers forced their way into the Washington Street home to help out an elderly woman who could not exit on her own.
Firefighters fought weather conditions to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby homes.
