STONINGTON, CT — A Mystic woman suffered life-threatening injuries after falling down a cliff Sunday, NBC CT reported. Police received a welfare check at about 1 p.m. when a 90-year-old woman couldn't find her 73-year-old caregiver.

The caregiver, who had been raking leaves in the Quarry Path yard, was found about 15 minutes later at the bottom of a 30-foot cliff, according to NBC CT.

The woman was transported via helicopter to a hospital in Rhode Island for treatment of life-threatening injuries, WTNH News-8 reported. She is reportedly in critical condition.
