ORIGINAL POST: STRATFORD, CT — A Silver Alert has been issued for a 14-year-old missing from Stratford, according to a news release from the Connecticut State Police. Maleena Alverio has been missing since Aug. 16 and is being considered an endangered runaway, the news release stated.

Alverio is Hispanic with auburn hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. Alverio was last seen wearing a gray shirt with "Sacred Heart" written on it, and red shorts. Anyone with information is asked to call Stratford police at 203-385-4100.
