The 15th Annual Relay For Life Of Stratford CT is this weekend!

Relay For Life Of Stratford CT invites you to come to Bunnell High School's field and help us celebrate our 15th Anniversary!

On Saturday June 18th twenty teams comprised of Stratford area residents will take part in the 15th Anniversary of our Relay For Life event, which is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

Relay For Life teams traditionally “set up camp” and take turns walking or running around a track. This year’s event is 18 hours long — from 2 p.m. to 8 a.m. Because “cancer never sleeps,” each team is asked to have at least one participant on the track at all times.

We invite the public to come down to what we call a party with a purpose. You can visit the campsites and participate in the team fundraisers which include, games, raffles, face painting and more. We have a raffle for team baskets, a bounce house, food trucks, 2 bands, Dj's, Zumba and more.

To honor our Survivors, the heart of relay, we have a dinner which will start at 5 p.m. Please note we had a system glitch and not all of the invitations may have gone out so if you are a survivor please come to the dinner you can sign up at the event. We didn't forget you. The opening ceremony with Star 99.9 will start at 7 p.m. and will include the Survivor and Caregiver laps.

We will be selling Luminaries at the event for $5.00 and have plenty of materials for you to decorate your bag. The bags will be placed around the track and at 9 pm we will have a Luminaria Ceremony during which the main lights are brought down and everything is light by the Luminaria Bags.
