2 Men Charged in Violent Stratford Home Invasion; 4 People Pistol Whipped: Police

Police said the victims were held at gunpoint and the accused allegedly stole from the house.

Stratford police say two Bridgeport men are accused of committing a violent home invasion in town, in which they are alleged to have pistol-whipped four victims, held them at gunpoint and then allegedly stole from them.

Police said it all began at 2:30 a.m. when they responded to a Birdseye Street home for the reported home invasion.

The victim said two male suspects entered the yard, pistol-whipping two people on the outside deck, and then forced them inside the house, police said.

Once inside, police said the suspects pistol-whipped two more people and held them at gunpoint while another suspect ransacked the house and stole jewels, money and electronics.

The two suspects fled and were found at a local hotel on Honeyspot Road.

Charged include, Jonathan Ortega, 30, and Victor Larrea, 34, both of Bridgeport. They face multiple charges including home invasion, assault and robbery.

No other information was available, police said late Tuesday.
