2 Teens Charged After Stratford Investigation Of Drugs, Shootings

Bond for one of the teens was set at $1 million.

STRATFORD, CT — Two teens are charged in connection with an investigation of drug sales, gun crimes and recent shootings in Stratford, according to police. Law enforcement executed two search warrants Aug. 23 and took 19-year-old Zaire Dixon and a 15-year-old juvenile into custody, a Stratford Police Department news release said.

While searching a residence, detectives found a stolen gun loaded with several rounds of ammunition and marijuana packaged for sale, according to police.

Dixon, who was out on bond in connection with a shooting in Stratford, is charged with criminal possession of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, possession of a large capacity magazine, illegal transfer of a firearm, improper storage of a firearm, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, risk of injury to a minor and violating a condition of release, the news release said. The 15-year-old was charged with conspiracy and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.

Dixon was given a court date of Aug. 30 and issued a $1 million bond. The 15-year-old was sent to juvenile detention.
