24-Year-Old Stratford Woman Dead In Danbury Fire, Family Says

According to her obituary, she was a driven young woman with a flair for fashion and cosmetics.

STRATFORD, CT — A young woman from Stratford died in a blaze Sunday in Danbury. The woman was identified as Elisa “Lissy” Elida Annuzzi by her father in a Facebook comment and by her mother in an interview with the New Haven Register.

The fire took place early Sunday morning in a two-story multi-family building on Ninth Avenue near Western Connecticut State University’s midtown campus. In addition to Annuzzi, a man was rescued in the incident and was in critical condition Sunday. Officials were investigating the cause of the fire.

Annuzzi, 24, was a Stratford resident but was born in Bridgeport and lived in Milford for most of her life, where she attended Jonathan Law High School, according to her obituary, which said she had a sense of humor and a flair for fashion and cosmetics. Annuzzi also loved music and the entertainment industry.

“She stopped at nothing to accomplish whatever she wanted,” the obituary said, noting that while Annuzzi worked at Starbucks, she was interested in psychology and mental health.

Annuzzi is survived by her father, James Annuzzi, and his wife, Krystal, and her mother, Johan Plaza, and her husband, Randy Lilly. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her siblings, Xavier Annuzzi, Chase J. Annuzzi, Ariana A. Annuzzi, Ariel A. Annuzzi, Damaris J. Annuzzi, Serenit A. Annuzzi and Aiden J. Annuzzi, and her grandparents, Samuel Plaza, Elida Batista, and Noel Ruiz, plus many aunts, uncles and cousins.
