3 Charged In Connection To Shooting In Stratford
Police have arrested three people in connection to the shooting and say the investigation is ongoing.

STRATFORD, CT — Three people have been arrested in connection to a recent shooting in Stratford. Police investigated a shooting on Aug. 7 on Bruce Avenue in which a car was shot and damaged. During the investigation, police were able to identify the three suspects involved as Dashaun Mitchell, 22, of Stratford; Derek Watley, 24, of Bridgeport, and Marquese Coleman, 23, of Stratford, according to Capt. Frank Eannotti.
Eannotti said warrants were obtained for their arrests and all three have been located over the past two weeks and charged for their involvement. To sign up for Stratford breaking news alerts and more, click here.

Mitchell was charged with criminal attempt at first-degree assault and weapons in a motor vehicle. His bond was set at $100,000.

Coleman was charged with criminal attempt at first-degree assault and weapons in a motor vehicle. His bond was set at $250,000.

Watley was charged with criminal attempt at first-degree assault and held on a $250,000 bond with a court date of Aug. 29.

The Connecticut Post reports the shooting was apparently retaliation for a recent shooting in which a 16-year-old boy was shot while playing basketball on the courts on Woodend Road
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
