4 Charged With Burglary In Stratford
A neighbor alerted police to a burglary-in-progress, leading to the arrest of four people.
STRATFORD, CT — Four Stratford residents were arrested on burglary charges thanks to the assistance of an alert neighbor who notified police of a possible burglary-in-progress, according to police. Officers responded to 3rd Avenue in the Lordship section of Stratford after receiving the report and the neighbor who witnessed the attempted break-in gave police a description of the suspects and their car, according to Capt. Frank Eannotti.
Eannotti said a short time later a Volkswagen Jetta matching the description of the suspect’s vehicle was stopped on Lordship Boulevard near Access Road. The witness was able to positively identify the suspects and the initial description of the suspects, their clothing and car all matched the subjects at the scene of the motor vehicle stop, according to Eannotti. During the stop, the driver of the car – Jalenthen Feliciano – was found to be in the possession of marijuana, Eannotti said.

Feliciano, 22, was charged with sale of a controlled substance, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary and criminal attempt to commit third-degree burglar. He was held on a $5,000 bond.

Dontrel Flathers, 22, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass and criminal attempt at third-degree burglary. He was held on a $5,000 bond.

Sergio Barrera, 21, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass and criminal attempt at third-degree burglary. He was held on a $5,000 bond.

Jacob Ricco, 21, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass and criminal attempt at third-degree burglary. He was held on a $5,000 bond.
All four men are scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on May 30.
