4 Cyclists Charged After Fleeing Officer At Longbrook Park: Cops
Two men and two younger teens are accused of blocking traffic and harassing people.

STRATFORD, CT — Officers recently arrested four bicyclists accused of blocking traffic and harassing people, according to Stratford police. An officer was investigating a complaint Friday about bicyclists loitering around Longbrook Park when he approached the four suspects, and they fled on their bikes, police stated in a news release. While fleeing, the group rode through the park and splash pad area where small children were playing, according to police.
Not long afterward, officers apprehended Elijah Sampson, 20, of Bridgeport; Andre Lawson, 19, of Bridgeport; a 15-year-old and a 14-year-old, police stated. All four were charged with disorderly conduct, interfering and violating the town ordinance for reckless or uncontrolled bicycle operation, according to police.
