91 Safest Places to Live in CT: Where Does Stratford Rank?

There are lots of variations on the safest place to live lists for Connecticut but they all have one thing in common — Ridgefield is indeed the safest place to live in the Nutmeg State.

The latest study comes from Alarm System Reviews, which ranks the top 91 safest places to live based on a variety of data. The caveat is, only communities with 2,500 or more people were included in the list and FBI crime data from 2015 for that town had to be readily available.

Connecticut fares well in the study, ranking as the eighth safest in the nation.

There have been several similar studies on the safest places to live in Connecticut but this new list examines violent and property crimes and FBI data to determine its list.

Four Connecticut communities reported no violent crimes during 2015 including: Ridgefield, Easton, New Canaan, and Bethel.
