9/11 Memorial

September 11th is a national day of service and remembrance.  To commemorate the day, St. James School kicked off its call to service campaign.  Students were invited to an assembly where several 8th grade students discussed their mission trip to Harrisburg, PA.  Students were encouraged to dress in red, white, and blue to honor the heroes of 9/11.  The 8th graders also asked for donations of toothbrushes, hand sanitizer, hand soap, and travel size toothpaste.  These items will be sent to On Call Africa, whose volunteers run mobile clinics in the rural areas of Southern Zambia.  The students’ efforts resulted in the collection of six huge boxes which will be shipped to Zambia and distributed in villages during On Call Africa’s mobile medical clinics.  As one happy Facebook fan wrote…

”How great are the students at St. James in Stratford?
