BRIDGEPORT, CT — Santa Energy announces the addition of propane gas to the list of energy sources the company provides to residential, commercial and industrial users throughout Connecticut.
Propane is the latest addition to their offerings which include heating oil and motor fuels, natural gas and electricity. Company President Peter Russell said the company's success is driven by its ability to provide multiple energy options, which allows customers to make the most cost effective and cleanest energy choices.

Bill Harris, the manager of Santa Energy's propane gas division with over 30 years in the industry, said propane is a great option for customers living in areas where a natural gas line is not available, or as a cleaner dual fuel option. “A lot of our customers have been asking about higher efficiency gas heating equipment, and since many don’t have access to natural gas in their area, propane is the perfect alternative.”
“With rising fuel costs many people are looking for other sources to fit their budget. Propane offers a great alternative because it’s a stable fuel that is domestically produced.” Nearly 97 percent of US propane consumption is produced in North America and it has less impact on the environment because it is a nontoxic, nonpoisonous fuel that doesn’t contaminate soil or water. “Not only can propane tanks be installed above ground, but since propane does not hurt the environment, tanks can be installed underground as well.” Harris said.
