Looks like larger iPhone and iPad screens are in the works. According to Apple's suppliers, Apple has asked for prototypes of smartphone screens larger then 4 inches and asked for screen designs for new tablet screens slightly larger then 13 inches. Currently, the iPhone 5 has a 4 inch screen and the iPad has a 9.7 inch screen.
Apple regularly tests new designs for its products, whether these will make it to the marketplace is unclear. Apple declined comment.
