Armed Masked Men Rob Church Building (Updated)

Stratford Police release descriptions of the suspects.

Stratford Police are investigating an armed robbery by two masked men that occurred at the First Baptist Credit Union, located at 40 Johnson Court, on Tuesday evening.

Two masked men entered the building around 5:20 p.m., according to Lt. Frank Eannotti.

Eannotti said both men were armed and they demanded money from the occupants/employees.

The suspects fled the scene on foot and took an unknown amount of cash, as well as several pocketbooks with personal items such as phones and credit cards.

The first suspect is described as a light skinned male, 5-feet, 8-inches tall, possibly Hispanic, and was wearing jeans and a dark color jacket. He was armed with a handgun, according to Eannotti.

The second suspect was described as a black male approximately 5-9, wearing dark clothing. He was possibly armed with a shotgun.

Both suspects are believed to be in their 20’s.
