“Artbeat by Ribas” On Display for January at the Stratford Library

Stratford Resident Makes First Appearance with Original Paintings

“Artbeat by Domingos Ribas” is the January art exhibit at the Stratford Library. Stratford artist/Graphic Designer Domingos Ribas is making his first library appearance with his original paintings. The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, will be on display in the library's Main Lobby throughout the month of January.

Domingos Ribas was born in Portugal in 1982 and moved to Connecticut in 1990. He graduated from Paier College of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. Whether he is designing graphics or painting, Ribas is always full of creative energy and treats each project as a new adventure. Working in many different mediums, oil painting still remains a favorite of the artist. Ribas and his wife moved to Stratford in 2011 and welcomed a new daughter, Liliana, in 2013. Portraits of his daughter are now his most common inspiration and he enjoys, “the challenge of capturing a glimpse of her beauty on canvas!”
