Body Of Missing Stratford Man Found: Police

A Silver Alert had been issued for the man on Monday.

STRATFORD, CT — The body of a missing Stratford man was found Thursday, according to police.

A Silver Alert was issued for Khristopher Whyte, 36, on Monday after he was reported missing. A pedestrian found Whyte’s property while walking across the Washington Bridge and reported it to the Milford Police Department, according to Stratford police.

Police contacted the family and officers were told that Whyte might be endangered and had threatened to hurt himself.

The Silver Alert was activated and Stratford police and other local departments tried to find Whyte. Police said local marine units searched the river Monday night and throughout the day on Tuesday. His body was found by Stratford police and town emergency services on Thursday, according to police.
