Don't Let Vandals Trash Short Beach

If you haven't been down to Short Beach in recent weeks you will be in for a surprise. The beach is clean, the snack shack has music, the bathrooms are being repainted and the parking lot is picked up. Then go over to the golf course where activity has not stopped. A new Snack Bar and Pro Shop are getting ready to open. The fairways are green and well groomed.

That being said, there has been an increase in vandalism throughout Stratford. After this past weekend, Public Works picked up a truck load of glass from the Short Beach parking lots.  Trash cans are being turned upside down and gates and fences are being over run.

As a taxpayer I do not want to see my money go into cleaning and repairing.  If you see something, please say something. Our parks and beaches are for everyone and everyone should care.
