Family History Secrets Revealed at Stratford Library

Genealogist will talk about how to use Ancestry.com on Sept. 29.

If you would like to learn how to discover your family history using one of the best online tools available, Ancestry.com, come to a free library program on Saturday, Sept. 29th at 2 p.m. in the Stratford Library’s Lovell Room. Our presenter is Penelope Hartzell, a professional genealogist.

Ancestry.com is one of the most useful genealogical tools on the market, with 7 billion genealogical records from the US and other countries. subscribes to the library edition which can be searched at no cost by anyone visiting the library.

Penelope Hartzell  served as the Immigrant Ancestor Registrar for Palatines to America from 1994-2004, is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists New York City Metro Chapter and a long time member of the National Genealogical Society, The Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania, The Connecticut Professional Genealogist’s Council, and The Genealogy Club of Newtown. She has served as the president of The Connecticut Professional Genealogist’s Council.
