My First Campaign Promise: NO ROBO-CALLS

This is it, my first campaign promise: NO ROBO-CALLS.

Oh, there will be phone calls. But they will be made by live people, either myself or someone volunteering to help my campaign. I'm not interested in talking at you, I want to be able to have a conversation with you.

There are plenty of politicians who are just going to do what they want to do.  They represent the powerful groups who can buy whatever they want. And now that corporations are people, at least according to 5 justices, these powerful groups can easily buy influence.

But I'm interested in what YOU want done. Isn't that the whole idea of being a "representative"? I want to fight for actual people, people who work hard every day but will never be able to buy influence. I can be your voice in Hartford, but to do that I need two things. I need your support and I need to hear from you.

That's my promise to you: I have your back.
