Stratford Residents Named Employees of the Quarter at Bridgeport Hospital

Bob Holland and Dan Staff, both of Stratford, are two of Bridgeport Hospital’s newest Employees of the Quarter for their outstanding service to patients and colleagues during the period October–December 2012.

Holland is a medical technologist in the Chemistry Lab. He has been with the hospital for more than 25 years. He was named October’s Employee of the Month.

“Nothing seems to fluster Bob,” his nominators write. “He handles challenges with ease and flexibility. His easy-going and respectful nature is reassuring in stressful situations. He has an amazing talent for identifying probes with equipment and troubleshoots them with ease.”

An employee for more than 10 years, Staff is a first cook in the hospital’s main kitchen and was one of the Food & Nutrition staff members on duty during Blizzard Nemo in February. He was selected the November Employee of the Month.

“Dan takes extra care to make the meal experience a great one,” state his nominators. “He preps and cooks quickly and efficiently, allowing him time to lend a hand to help other cooks.”

Employees of the Quarter receive a plaque and a letter of commendation, and are eligible to be selected as Employee of the Year.
