Children Create Winter Art at the Stratford Library

Free programs help to instill an appreciation in books and art.

Once a month, Sally Head offers a free art program at the Stratford Children’s Library. The children (aged 5 to 10 years old) first read a book.

Then, with Sally’s help, the children create their own work of art inspired by a scene in the story. The story and art usually follow a theme, such as Winter.

Free library programs such as “Winter Art,” encourages children to visit the library and peak their interest in books and art. This helps to instill a lifelong interest and positive connection to books.
