Construction to Shut Down I-95 in Stratford
The DOT announces that the highway will be closed intermittently due to construction activities on Monday night.

The state Department of Transportation has announced that I-95 near Exit 30 in Stratford will be shut down in both directions for “intermittent periods of 10 minutes” during the nighttime hours on Monday, Nov. 23.
The “full highway closure” will take place from 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. and is due to construction activities including the removal of existing and installation of new overhead signs and sign supports, according to the DOT.
The DOT also plans for the same intermittent 10-minute shutdowns on Dec. 1.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zones.
The DOT also said that motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions and motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.

In addition, construction activities associated with the installation of signs along Route 25, I-84 and I-95 in the towns of Fairfield, Bridgeport, Stratford, Milford, Orange, West Haven, Trumbull and Danbury will require the implementation of both day and night time lane restrictions. This work is scheduled to run through December 15, 2015.
