A December to Remember for Lordship School
As we head into the holidays and prepare to enjoy our time off, we would like to reflect on a wonderful December our students had!
As we head into the holidays and prepare to enjoy our time off before the second half of the school year gets underway, we would like to reflect on a wonderful December our students experienced.
With the efforts of our Cultural Arts chair, Mrs. Cyndi Casinelli, the entire school and most of the staff at Lordship School enjoyed a day at the Caberet Theater in Downtown Bridgeport to watch “A Christmas Carol”. This event was fully sponsored by our school’s PTA. What an amazing way to give back to our students by treating them to a holiday classic.
The students were not only extremely excited but very interested to see the play as all grades came prepared. Each teacher presented their students with “A Christmas Carol” weeks before the event to engage the students in the story.

Teachers geared their instruction according the their students’ grade level. The best part was seeing the smile on the students faces as they enjoyed the play while they were dressed up in their best attire.
Soon after our Kindergarten classes went to the Norwalk Maritime Center and watched Polar Express in the IMAX theater as part of our full school partnership with the Maritime Center.
Just last week grades 1-4 preformed their Holiday Concert in front of their parents and family. It was a very uplifting event filled with song and dance. Thanks to our music teacher, Mr. Trapp, the students put on a stellar performance. Thank you students and Mr. Trapp!

This past Friday our students enjoyed the Gingerbread Holiday Social. Students painted and decorated gingerbread shaped ornaments as they sipped on hot cocoa, eat cookies and sang Christmas Carols lead by Mr. Larry Haddad on the saxophone. Thank you to Mrs. Amanda Perry and all the volunteers that made this event a success. Also, thank you to our very own Mr. Haddad for graciously playing Christmas music on his Alto Sax.
After enjoying a wonderful December, we are looking forward to an exciting 2016 school year with many more amazing events to come! Seasons’ Greeting and Happy New Year!
