Around 2:45 pm, a child was attacked and bitten by a dog on Everett St., Near Birdseye St in Stratford. Witnesses state it was a pitbull that attacked the child and also attacked a police officer. Witnesses also report police tased the dog twice before fatally shooting the animal. WTNH reports and office observed the dog attacking the child, stopped to help but the dog would not release the child.
The condition of the child or injuries is not know at this time.
This is the second dog attack in the area; two weeks ago a woman and her dog were attacked on Birdseye St.
