Drug Bust In Stratford; $500K Bond For Suspect
The arrest was part of an investigation focused on narcotics sales and gun crimes in town, according to police.

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford police arrested a man on several drug and weapons charges Wednesday as part of an investigation focused on narcotics sales and gun crimes in town, according to a police. Law enforcement executed a search warrant for narcotics sales at a home in the 1400 block of South Avenue and took Courtney Hugh Dyce, 18, into custody as he was leaving the residence, a department news release stated.
During a search of the home, detectives found several ounces of marijuana, packaging and a stolen Smith and Wesson .40-caliber handgun that was loaded, according to police.
Dyce, who is on probation after he was found to have two stolen firearms in 2018, is charged with operating a drug factory, possession of marijuana, possession near a school, criminal possession of a firearm, theft of a firearm and larceny, the news release stated. His bond was set at $500,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court June 27.

The Stratford Narcotics Vice and Intel Unit worked in coordination with the Bridgeport Police Task Force on the case.
