DUI Driver Sentenced For Crashing Into Stratford Cop

The woman was also texting just before the crash, according to police.

STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford woman was sentenced to one year in prison in connection to a crash in which police said she was operating under the influence at more than twice the legal limit and texting when she crashed into a Stratford police detective in 2017, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports Caroline Dillon, 23, was sentenced to five years, suspended after serving one year in prison, and three years of probation.

The detective suffered serious injuries in the crash, which occurred on Main Street on Aug. 1, 2017, and may never return to duty, according to the Post.
