Beginning at about 7 p.m. at the Moses Wheeler Bridge of Interstate 95 the parade will proceed along the river, ending at the Stratford Boat Launch Ramp at the foot of Birdseye Street.
The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 25.
Anyone willing to decorate a boat is invited to participate. Proceeds from boat participation fees ($25 per craft) and the sale of T-shirts and other items are donated to the St. Vincent's Medical Center Foundation's Swim Across the Sound programs.

Judging will take place at the boat ramp in two categories: boats over 30 feet in length, and under 30 feet. Winners in each category receive $100 awards; $50 awards go to the second-place finishers.
