Farmington Bank Opens Lending Center in Fairfield

Local Lending Professional Gene Fabbri Heads New Farmington Bank Office

Farmington Bank announced it has opened a new Lending Center in Fairfield, Connecticut, its second one in three months, with a team of experienced, local lending specialists.

“Our newest Lending Center allows us to offer first-class lending services to the greater Fairfield region,” said John J. Patrick, Jr., chairman, president and CEO of Farmington Bank. “Our newly formed local team brings extensive experience with the capabilities to make lending decisions quickly to meet customers’ needs.”

Farmington Bank’s Fairfield Lending Center is located at 1809 Black Rock Turnpike and is currently staffed by three mortgage bankers who are well-known in the greater Fairfield area: Gene Fabbri, assistant vice president and residential sales manager; Jeannie Devaney, residential loan specialist; and Diane Nelson, residential loan specialist.

“We’re privileged to have Gene leading our team of residential lenders in Fairfield. With over 35 years of banking experience and deep roots in the community, Gene brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team as we continue to grow and expand,” said James Wilson, senior vice president and director of residential lending at Farmington Bank.

Gene Fabbri was the owner of Independent Mortgage Company in Fairfield for 30 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Fairfield University. Fabbri is an Honorary Trustee of Wakeman Boys and Girls Club and served on its Board of Directors for many years. He previously served on the Fairfield University Alumni Association Board of Directors, and is active in and a supporter of many other local organizations.

Jeannie Devaney has over 20 years of experience in residential lending. She most recently served as Licensed Mortgage Broker at Independent Mortgage Company. Devaney is a graduate of the State University of New York, Cobleskill with a degree in Business. She is active in her community volunteering for several organizations, and is a President’s Council Board Member of the Norma Pfriem Breast Center in Fairfield.

Diane Nelson is a residential loan specialist with over 20 years of experience in residential mortgage banking. She most recently served as Branch Administrator, QI Officer and Mortgage Loan Originator at Independent Mortgage Company.

The new Fairfield Lending Center follows the opening of Farmington Bank’s Lending Center in Branford, Connecticut, which opened for business in December 2015.
