Fatal House Fire In Stratford Investigated: Report

BREAKING: The family's house was destroyed in the blaze.

STRATFORD, CT — A man died in a house fire Saturday night in Stratford. Around 5 p.m. firefighters responded to the blaze at 25 Melville St., the Connecticut Post reports.

The fire destroyed the house and once it was extinguished firefighters found a man dead in the second-floor bedroom, the Post reports.

The deceased, whose name was not disclosed, was the only one home as his wife and son were elsewhere. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
