Former Manager Embezzled $20K From Stratford Restaurant: Police

The man, the son of a Connecticut mayor, is also accused of embezzling from a restaurant in Trumbull.

STRATFORD, CT — The son of West Haven Mayor Nancy Rossi was arrested Thursday for allegedly embezzling more than $20,000 from a Stratford restaurant, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports Stephen Rossi, 34, of West Haven, is also awaiting trial on charges that he embezzled more than $80,000 from a restaurant in Trumbull. Rossi was the manager of the Sitting Duck restaurants in Stratford and Trumbull.

Police launched an investigation after the co-owner of the Sitting Duck accused Rossi of embezzling from the restaurants, according to the Post.
