Former State Representative Found Dead In Stratford: Report

STRATFORD, CT — Former State Rep. William J. Varese, who also had a law office in Trumbull, was found dead outside his home in Stratford on Sunday, according to the Connecticut Post. He was 71.

The Post reports police say the death doesn’t appear suspicious and is under review by the state Office of the Chief State’s Medical Examiner.

Varese was elected to the State House of Representatives in 1990 and served four two-year terms representing Monroe, according to the Post.
