I-95 Closed Near Stratford-Bridgeport Border After Semi Crash

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Interstate 95 southbound was closed between exits 30 and 29 because of a semitrailer accident during rush hour Tuesday, according to the Department of Transportation. The incident involved a semi and multiple other vehicles and was reported about 5:15 p.m. The roadway was congested between exits 34 and 29 following the crash. The center and right lanes remained closed until after 7 p.m. and the scene was not cleared until almost two hours after the accident, according to the department.
