STRATFORD, CT — Cities and counties across the country continue to bring back many of the traditional Independence Day activities that were either canceled or modified the last two years. July 4 is just around the corner, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

July 4 Festivities
What: Stratford's annual Independence Day Fireworks display

Where: Short Beach
When: June 30 at 9 p.m. with rain date of July 5.
What: Milford Start of Summer celebration. Event starts at 4 p.m. and two live bands will play until midnight.
Food trucks will be at the event and downtown restaurants will also be open.
Parking in the area will be very limited, but the city will have free shuttle service to and from the senior center, Wasson field and Harborside Middle School.
Shuttle service will start around 4 p.m. and end at 11:30 p.m.
Where: Lisman Landing, Milford
When: June 25 with a rain date of July 9. Fireworks show to begin around 9:15 p.m.
What: Trumbull Day 2022, a fun-filled family event with food, vendors, carnival rides and games, children's entertainment, a main stage featuring local bands and fireworks.
Where: The field behind Hillcrest Middle School
When: The event begins Friday, July 1, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and continue on Saturday, July 2, from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., closing with a fabulous fireworks display.
What: Fairfield's fireworks display
Where: Fairfield Beaches
When: 9:15 p.m. on July 2 (rain date is July 3)
What: Community Cook-Out & Community Closet
Where: YMCA, 850 Park Ave. in Bridgeport
When: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., July 2
What: Fireworks & Concert at HPCC in Orange
Where: 525 Orange Center Rd
When: July 9
What: Savin Rock Fireworks Spectacular in West Haven
Where: Bradley Point
When: Sept. 3 with rain date of Sept. 5. Fireworks to begin around 8 p.m.
