STRATFORD, CT — A 29-year-old Stratford man was released from prison last week after he was found not guilty of murder, which occurred after he had spent more than four years in prison awaiting trial, reported the Connecticut Post.

Brandyn Grant-Ford was accused of killing 27-year-old Bridgeport resident Andre Pettway in Stratford in May 2017. Pettway died of gunshot wounds.

Ford admitted to police that he was driving in the area where the shooting took place, but none of the witnesses who testified during the trial said that they saw Ford with a gun, according to the Post.
