Man Arrested After Leaving Son Alone In Hot Car: Stratford Police

The man is accused of leaving his son alone in a hot car while he went shopping.

STRATFORD, CT — A Bridgeport man is accused of leaving his 7-year-old son alone in a hot car with the windows rolled up and the air conditioner off while he went shopping Sunday in Stratford, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports David Angeski, 38, was arrested after police found the boy in the car crying in the C-Town parking lot on Boston Avenue. (To sign up for Stratford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Angeski told police that he left the boy in the car after he refused to go into the store with him and he had been gone for only a few minutes, according to the Post. Witnesses told police the boy had been in the car for about 20 minutes.
