Man Burglarizes Animal Hospital, Leaves Cell Phone and Keys at the Scene: Stratford Police
Police also found a trail of blood on the floor near a broken window, along with a set of keys and the cell phone.

STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford man has been charged with breaking into The Pet Hospital after police say he left his cell phone and keys at the scene.
Nicholas Bruner, 31, of Eureka Avenue, was arrested on a warrant and charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief after breaking in to the animal hospital located on Linden Avenue in Stratford, according to police. The burglary occurred on Oct. 2, 2016.
Officers responded to a burglar alarm at The Pet Hospital on Linden Avenue and found a rear window broken and there was blood on the window frame, according to Capt. Frank Eannotti.

Eannotti said responding officers found a trail of blood on the floor along with the set of keys and cell phone. The cell phone and keys were traced back to Bruner.
Bruner was taken into custody for the incident and released on a $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Court on Feb. 1.
