Man Caught Breaking Into Home In Broad Daylight: Stratford Police
An alert neighbor notified police of the burglary.

STRATFORD, CT — A Bridgeport man was arrested Friday after police say he was caught breaking into a home in Stratford in broad daylight. The incident occurred at about 12:45 p.m. on Columbus Avenue when police were alerted to the burglary by a neighbor who saw that the front door was open while the homeowner was away, according to Capt. Frank Eannotti.
Carlos Lanauze, 34, of Bridgeport, was taken into custody by responding officers when he went out the back door of the home, according to Eannotti.
Lanauze was charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree criminal trespass. He was held on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 18.
