Man Charged For Attempted Armed Robbery: Stratford Police
The man was arrested on a warrant for an attempted armed robbery in Stratford, according to police.

STRATFORD, CT — A Bridgeport man has been arrested in connection to an attempted armed robbery of a Citgo gas station in Stratford, according to police. Zachary Hobbs, 61, was arrested Thursday on a warrant for the attempted robbery that occurred Feb. 16 at the Citgo located at 605 Success Avenue, according to Capt. Frank Eannotti.
“During the robbery, Hobbs displayed what appeared to be a handgun but fled the scene when the clerk refused to provide any money,” Eannotti said in a press release.
Hobbs was charged with first-degree attempted robbery and carrying a dangerous weapon. He was held on a $200,000 bond with a court date of Feb. 28.
