Man Charged for Drunk Driving Death of Stratford Woman
Nancy E. Distefano Keller was killed in the Feb. 8 car crash at the age of 53.
A Trumbull man faces several charges, including drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter, in connection to the death of a Stratford woman earlier this year.
Peter Burdick, 24, was arrested Tuesday for the Feb. 8 car crash that killed Nancy Distefano Keller, 53, according to the Connecticut Post.
The Post reports that Burdick told police that he had given his keys to a hitchhiker after a night of drinking at a bar and asked him to drive because he was intoxicated. However, Burdick claimed the hitchhiker sped off with him in the passenger seat and wouldn’t slow down or let him out of the van.

Keller died at Bridgeport Hospital from injuries sustained when Burdick’s van crashed into her car at 1:20 a.m. at Noble Avenue and Crown Street.
After the crash, Burdick claimed that the other man fled on foot but police said the alleged hitchhiker was never found, according to Post.
