Man Charged With Running Drug Factory In Stratford: Police

STRATFORD, CT — A convicted felon has been charged with running a drug factory out of a home in Stratford, according to police. Nolan Moore, 34, was taken into custody Tuesday, police said in a news release.

Moore was apprehended leaving the residence in the 100 block of Larkin Court while law enforcement were in the area to execute a search warrant of the home, according to police. While searching the residence, detectives found marijuana, narcotics packaging, two shotguns and several rounds of ammunition, police said.

Moore was on parole after he was previously convicted of selling an assault weapon and firearms trafficking offenses, according to police. He was recently released from prison, but is prohibited from having firearms and ammunition, police said.

Moore was charged in connection with Tuesday's search with the following offenses: operating a drug factory, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of ammunition, illegal transfer of a firearm, having weapons in a motor vehicle, improper storage of a firearm and risk of injury to a minor, according to police. Moore's bond was set at $500,000.
