Man Charged With Shooting Teen At Stratford Bar
The teen was shot several times, according to police.

STRATFORD, CT — The suspect in a shooting last month at a Stratford bar faces charges, as do his twin brother and a third man, according to Stratford police.
John Tyquin Holman, 27, is accused of shooting a teen several times Sept. 21 at Sports Corner Cafe, 1212 Stratford Ave., police said in a news release. The teen was rushed to a hospital in serious condition, and detectives identified Holman as the suspect, according to police.
Law enforcement executed search warrants Monday in the PT Barnum housing complex in Bridgeport and took Holman, who is a convicted felon, into custody, police said. Holman was charged with assault, criminal possession of a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit, according to police. He was held on $750,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 16.

Detectives found a .40-caliber handgun, ammunition, heroin, cocaine and marijuana packaged for sale at the housing complex, police said. Officials arrested Holman's twin, Johnathan Tyquon Holman, 27, and charged him with criminal possession of a firearm, possession of a high-capacity magazine, criminal possession of ammunition and possession with intent to sell narcotics, according to police. He was held on a $500,000 bond and is also set to appear in court Oct. 16.

Justin Scott, 26, was charged with operating a drug factory, possession with intent to sell marijuana and possession with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a prohibited location, police said. Scott was released on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 16 as well.

The Stratford Police Special Response Team worked with the Bridgeport Police Emergency Services Unit, Bridgeport Safe Streets Task Force and Bridgeport Police Gang Unit to execute the warrants and take the trio into custody.
