Man Sold ‘Significant Amounts’ Of Heroin Laced With Fentanyl: Stratford Police

Police executed search warrants at the man's "stash apartment" and seized heroin, two guns, ammunition, and a tactical vest, officials said.

STRATFORD, CT — A man accused of selling “significant amounts” of heroin laced with fentanyl was recently arrested on a warrant, according to Stratford police.

The Stratford Police Narcotics, Vice, and Intelligence Unit conducted a joint investigation with members of the FBI Safe Street Task Force into 32-year-old Angel Nunez, who was identified as a “mid-level narcotics dealer who was trafficking/selling significant amounts of heroin laced with fentanyl,” according to Stratford Police Capt. Jerry Pinto.

On July 23, Pinto said investigators executed search warrants with the assistance of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and Bridgeport Police Task Force.

“In a residence identified as Nunez’s stash apartment, investigators seized approximately 15.2 grams of raw heroin, packaging material, along with items used to process heroin,” Pinto wrote in a news release. “Investigators also located and seized two firearms, an assortment of ammunition, and a tactical vest.”

Nunez is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing firearms, according to Pinto. Nunez was taken into custody at his residence at 120 East Avenue, Bridgeport, Pinto said.

He was charged with two counts of criminal possession of ammunition, two counts of criminal possession of pistol/revolver, and one count each of illegal transfer of pistol/revolver, possession with intent to sell narcotic substance (subsequent offense), and operating of a drug factory.
