STRATFORD, CT — Two first responders recently treated a man suffering from apparent heat stroke at Short Beach. Paramedic Mike Battistelli and EMT Michelle Edler were dispatched to a softball field at the beach, where a 50-year-old man was exhibiting heat stroke symptoms, according to a Facebook post Sunday from Stratford EMS. The man had been participating in a sporting event at the beach. The responders notified the hospital and began cooling procedures, the post stated, allowing for a positive outcome for the man.
