Michael Patrick Dominick, Connecticut-based singer and performer, will host a musical concert at Joey C’s Boathouse Cantina & Grill on Thursday September 22nd from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., benefitting Make-A-Wish® Connecticut.
Michael has served as Marketing & Communications Manager for Make-A-Wish Connecticut since May 2010. Prior to that, Michael volunteered his musical talents to fundraising efforts for the foundation, and continues to do so today. Michael’s repertoire includes Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Bobby Darin, along with classic rock and modern hits from Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Elton John, Jonny Cash, and others (www.michaelpatrickdominick.com).
Joining Michael for the performance will be the popular Fairfield Connecticut-based band, The Lionfish (www.thelionfishband.com). Primarily a blues & funk band, The Lionfish formed in 2012 and has since grown into a live-performance experience that anyone would want to hear throughout Connecticut. At its core, The Lionfish digs deep into the roots of American blues and rock 'n' roll. The band embodies soul, talent, and a creative energy that is hard to find.

“We are excited to be returning to Joey C’s Boathouse Cantina & Grill for one more show as the summer draws to a close,” commented Michael Patrick Dominick. “The staff and management of Joey C’s has been so supportive of Make-A-Wish and our efforts to raise money for this incredible organization, and their appreciation for good music while giving back to the community is a perfect fit for us.”
The mission of Make-A-Wish is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Since 1986, Make-A-Wish Connecticut has granted over 2,700 wishes to local kids – over 240 in its recent Fiscal Year alone.
Joining the event will be two special musical guests as well: Michelle Wake and Scott Adamchek.
Michelle Wake of New York City, accomplished singer/songwriter and supporter of local charity, has donated her time and talents to perform at the September 22nd Music Night For Wishes event (https://m.facebook.com/michellewakemusic). Michelle has lived in New York City for the past three years, growing up in Michigan prior. She has been composing and performing music all her life - even before she could read and write.
I consider it to be such an honor to play for an event with Make a Wish Foundation!” shared Wake. “There is nothing better than giving something precious of my own to others for all the fun and encouragement it can bring.”
Music Night For Wishes will also feature former Wish Kid Scott Adamchek, a Stratford resident whose wish was granted over 5 years ago when he and his family went on a cruise. Scott will join The Lionfish and Michael Patrick Dominick for a few numbers, as well as perform songs with his own band based in Stratford.
“Having Scott join us brings everything together, and it helps our supporters to understand the power of a wish and what it can mean to kids like Scott,” continued Dominick. “Scott is incredibly talented, but even more significantly, he has overcome what none of us have had to face in our lives – a life-threatening medical condition as a young kid. His bravery, his determination, and his ability to not let his illness define him but yet allow music to become his avenue of expression is unbelievable and we are honored to have him as part of our performance.”
Join Michael Patrick Dominick, The Lionfish, Michelle Wake and Scott Adamchek on Thursday September 22nd from 5PM – 8PM for Music Night For Wishes, benefitting Make-A-Wish Connecticut.
