Segment One – Race car driver Joe Riolo takes David (a fellow Woodbury resident) onto the open road in a classic British sports car – a Triumph TR4. Along the way, David meets Racing Hall of Fame inductee Skip Barber at his Lime Rock Park racetrack in the town of Salisbury, where David takes a spin around the track.

Segment Two – Toshiyuki Shimada, conductor and music director of the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra based in New London, isn’t afraid to take big risks with classical music. He believes that it’s a community’s “songs” that define it, and he wants the ECSO to connect with everyone in the eastern part of the state. In this “Spotlight on the Arts” segment, Ed Wierzbicki meets the man who’s on a mission for classical music, and goes behind the scenes of the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra.

Segment Three – The Glass House, built by architect Philip Johnson, is a National Trust Historic Site located in New Canaan. Visit the pastoral 49-acre landscape in New Canaan that includes 14 structures, featuring the Glass House. Plus, see its permanent collection of 20th-century painting and sculptures, along with temporary exhibitions.

Segment Four – At the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology in East Hartford, there are always new possibilities, whether from the CCAT’s one-of-a-kind 3-D printer or its solar roofing system. In this “Made in Connecticut” segment, Christina DeFranco finds that the center is teaming up with local researchers, businesses and students to collaborate and invent new technologies that will need a growing, trained workforce to operate.

Segment Five – Joe Riolo brings David to his old stomping grounds from when Joe was a Danbury cop, and introduces David to Danbury’s Latin Deli. The deli’s owner – from the Dominican Republic – breaks bread and shares some Latin moves with David as patrons look on!
