Obituary: Carmella DeCesare, 97, of Stratford

Carmella DeCesare, 97, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Jack DeCesare, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2016 in Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Carmella was born on February 19, 1919 in Waterbury and was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Rose Schrillo Santone. She enjoyed spending time with family.

Carmella is survived by one son, Robert DeCesare of Stratford and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband Jack, Carmella was also predeceased by three brothers, Patsy Santone, Michael Santone and Daniel Santone and one sister, Anna Gianpalo.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 9 a.m. at St. James Church, 2070 Main Street, Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas Lynch. Entombment will follow in St. Michael’s Mausoleum. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford.
